Welcome to the AP3 E class!
Hi, this is Andrea Lypka, your AP3 instructor. Welcome to our class! The AP3E class is a great course; you're going to love it! Here you will find:
-engaging content to reflect upon
-a safe, supportive environment to learn in
-opportunities to present and support your views
-online resources to increase and evaluate your language proficiency
-an energized group of individuals working toward a common goal from multiple angles
Yes, you must do LOTS of work in order to improve your reading, writing, critical thinking, and technology skills. There is no way around that. But this semester could be one of the most enjoyable and valuable learning experiences of your life. What to do? Commit now to the following:
-Take the necessary time to do all assignments well.
-Read directions carefully.
-Ask questions when you're confused.
-Interact often and fully with your classmates.
-Trust your instructor. The work assigned is not simply to keep you busy; you will be thinking critically about 21st century issues of consequence. You will be continually improving your ability to gather and evaluate information. You will be prompted to write compellingly for an audience and respond to others' writing. Ultimately, this course is designed to set you on a path to further academic, personal, and professional success.
Are you ready? Please begin by introducing yourselves on our blog. I'll be looking forward to hearing from you soon!
